Grant Details:
- Grant Amount: $2,500 – $5,000
- Application Opens: February 14, 2025
- Recipients: Two individuals selected per quarter
- Must be prequalified using GK Folks’ preferred lender
- No income requirements
- Must purchase an owner-occupied home (any type of home qualifies)
2025 Grant Award Schedule:
- 1st Quarter: Application closes March 15, awards announced April 2
- 2nd Quarter: Application closes May 15, awards announced June 2
- 3rd Quarter: Application closes August 15, awards announced September 2
- 4th Quarter: Application closes November 15, awards announced December 2
Eligibility Requirements:
- First-time homebuyer
- Credit score of 640 or higher
- Must close on home purchase within 90 days of the grant award date
- Must be prequalified and use GK Folks’ preferred lender
- Must be buying the home in Utah

The GK Folks Foundation Home-Buying Grant Program is designed to help first-time homebuyers cover down payment and closing costs, making homeownership more accessible and achievable.
To participate, applicants must use our preferred lender, and we encourage working with our recommended real estate agent to streamline the process. We offer a one-stop-shop experience, providing comprehensive support from start to finish.
If you choose to work with your own real estate agent, they will be required to donate 50% of the grant funds received by their client back to the GK Folks home buying Grant Fund to ensure ongoing assistance for future homebuyers.

Step 2: Complete the Grant Application Form
Once prequalified, you will need to complete the GK Folks Affordable Housing Program Grant Application to assess eligibility, financial need, and potential impact.
Step 3: Schedule a Consultation with Our Realtor
Once prequalified and the application is submitted, book an appointment with our GK Folks Foundation Realtor by emailing: [email protected]
Step 4: Find & Secure Your Home
Work with our real estate expert to find and place an offer on your desired home.
Step 5: Finalize Your Loan & Close
Collaborate with our preferred lender to secure financing and finalize the home loan process.
Step 6: Close & Move In!
Once everything is finalized, close on your home and begin your homeownership journey!
