By 6:30 PM, attendees gathered on the second floor for the highlight of the event: a compelling presentation by Mitch Nelson. As an accomplished investor, business owner, international speaker, bestselling author, and YouTube sensation, Nelson delivered a powerful talk on mindset dynamics, emphasizing the stark contrasts between employee mindsets and wealthy mindsets. He further delved into the concept of the "Rich Mindset," detailing its five essential currencies: time, knowledge, relationships, credit, and money.The event concluded with a robust panel discussion featuring experienced professionals from the real estate sector. Panelists included Joseph Andorful, a tri-state real estate agent and investor; Esther Stowell, a real estate agent and property manager; Tim Reynolds, another dual realtor and investor; Todd Margett, a mortgage lender and investor; Fabio Margues, a real estate investor; and Judy Kasue, specializing in mid-term rental investments. This diverse group shared their varied experiences and insights, enriching the dialogue and offering attendees valuable perspectives on building generational wealth through real estate. On May 23rd, GK Folks, in collaboration with Ngoma Africa, successfully hosted a workshop focused on building generational wealth through real estate. With over 60 in attendance virtually and 10 in person, The workshop covered a range of critical topics, including the home buying process, the advantages of buying versus renting, current interest rate trends, and why now is an opportune time to invest in real estate. We were privileged to hear from two esteemed panelists who have successfully built generational wealth through real estate. They shared their experiences and insights, emphasizing the importance of getting started by consulting with a lender to understand your financial standing, whether you are beginning the home buying process or continuing with real estate investments. The workshop also highlighted the importance of utilizing professionals such as real estate agents to guide you through the process. For first-time home buyers, it is essential to educate yourself about the various stages of the home buying process. For investors, understanding different investment strategies before starting is crucial. GK Folks aims to develop and create a real estate community that serves as a valuable resource for the BIPOC community, supporting them on their journey to building generational wealth through real estate.
